Bulletins

1/12/22 - Tax Season Starts Monday, January 24, 2022. I'm not seeing clients personally this tax season

1/12/22 - Updated Non-Cash Contributions Worksheet - I've updated the Non-Cash Contributions Worksheet. You can locate it in the Newsletters and Documents link.

1/12/22 - IRS Notice 1444-C Needed for April 2021 Stimulus Payment(s) - You would have received this notice around April of last year. I need either this letter or the amount(s) of the April 2021 stimulus payment from your bank records. If you do not have your Notice 1444-C and cannot locate the stimulus payment in your banking records, you may need to order a 2021 Account Transcript from the IRS. Detailed information on how to do this is in the current newsletter.

1/12/22 - IRS Letter 6419(s) Needed for Advance Child Tax Credit - If you have dependents, you may have received advance Child Tax credit payments from June through December. The IRS is in the process of mailing out Letter 6419s. If you haven't received it yet, you may receive it very shortly. I need this letter in order to complete your 2021 tax return. Note that you may receive two letters (one for each spouse) if you filed Jointly for 2020. If you 1) did not receive this letter, or 2) if the amounts on the letter(s) is incorrect, then you will need to order a 2021 Account Transcript from the IRS. I have provided detailed information on how to do this in the current newsletter.

1/12/22 - Cash Contribution Deduction ($300/$600) for Non-Itemizers - You can claim up to $300 in contributions by cash, check, or credit card ($600 if you file a Joint tax return) without having to itemize your deductions. I will need to see proof of the donation in order for you to claim it.

1/22/22 - Documentation Requirements for Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) - Please note that you will need a letter from each charitable organization for which you made a QCD. The letter must contain the date(s), amount(s), and must contain the required "goods and services" language.
